Dale Dambek Class of 2020 Plainfield East Linebacker 6'2 210

Dale Dambek Jr how was your 2018 season?

As a team it wasn’t as good as we hoped but we battled throughout the season and we never quit. As a individual I feel I had a good season and grew a lot as a player.

Favorite memory from last season?

My favorite memory by far was the Plainfield Central game. We had a huge stop at the end of the game and then celebrating with our fans as they rushed onto field was amazing.

What do you like about playing linebacker?

I love playing LB, I felt like I was born to play this position. I love being in the middle of all the action and the physical nature of the position.

What should college coaches know about you?

That my attitude and work ethic is what makes me successful. I guarantee no one has the work ethic and non stop will to win when it comes to football.

So what game are you looking forward to this upcoming season?

Week one against Plainfield North. There’s going to be tons of talent on the field that night, and the battle of 119th is always a good rivalry.

What schools have you talked to so far?

I’m just starting to plan my Junior day visits, I’m heading up to Minnesota soon to visit St. Cloud State and Minnesota State the first week of April. I have received other invites to Junior days and camps in Illinois like a invite to visit Northwestern recently.

What motivates a Dale Dambek?

Ever since I saw one of seniors crying after our last game and he told me “This is your team now work hard and make East proud”. I have that in my mind and I could never forget that I want to be on the field the first time East wins a playoff game, not for me, but for everyone that has put on a East uniform.

Who is the funniest guy on the Plainfield East team?

One of my good friends Jabril Sims. Most of the time we don’t know if he’s being serious or trying to joke around which makes him even funnier.
