Carmine Bastone Class of 2021 St. Charles North OL 6'2 220
COACH BIG PETE'S TAKE
Carmine is a name to watch for 2021, showed flashes of his hand technique during his sophomore season on the varsity line. Will be very intresting to see his growth in his junior along with his footwork. Again could be another big name lineman from St. Charles North
Carmine Bastone how was your 2018 season?
My 2018 season was great. I learned a lot about the game from coaches and the upperclassmen like Johnny Ambrogio Alex Westendorf and Dami Oshin.
How does it feel to have those upperclassmen helping you?
The help from the underclassmen helped me get used to the speed that the varsity level had. This made me feel more comfortable with the pressure.
What does playing on the line mean to you?
Playing on the line you have to be ready to get into a fist fight every play. The line doesn’t get all the glory but we are a major part of a team’s success.
What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason?
This offseason I’ve been working on getting bigger and my speed off the ball.
What should college coaches know about you?
I’m a hard worker on the field and in the classroom. I’m always looking for ways to better my game
What motivates a Carmine Bastone?
Ever since I was little I’ve loved playing football. I want to keep playing this great game as long as I can in college if I am lucky enough. The non believers motivate me as well to prove them wrong.
What game are most looking forward to in the 2019 season?
I’m looking forward for the championship game to redeem ourselves from last year. I believe in our coaches and team mates to get us there again.
