Will Bowlby is very intresting recruit for the Class of 2021. Great speed and natural athlete that could create trouble for offenses. What will be important is his growth and technique for the next 2 years.
Will Bowlby how was your 2018 season?
It was great. We had an amazing season, we finished the season 8-3 it was the best season Carbondale has had in 27 years, I know that because that was my dads team, he was the team captain and multiple time all-conference. We had a very strong senior class and my class has some serious talent. I’m very excited for the upcoming seasons.
What should people know about Carbondale football?
Carbondale wasn’t very successful for quite some time. Finally, there was a coaching change and all of the players bought in and we were able to have an amazing season
What should college coaches know about you?
I am very coachable. I have an eagerness to be the best I can be. I will do anything to become a better teammate and player. My coaches have always told me that I am a natural leader. I have been blessed with a passion for football, along with that passion I was greatly blessed genetically.
What do you like about playing linebacker?
I love the leadership role of the position. My coaches and brother and dad have taught/given me the instincts to get to the ball. I also love to hit people.
What does Carbondale football mean to you?
It means home.
What offense last season was toughest to defend against for you?
Power running scheme that I have to fight off guards and centers. I have some trouble with that last year
Who are some other Carbondale players we should be on the lookout for next season?
Definitely Gabe Hillard and Tavaris Macklin. They’re our two running backs and defensive backs and they’re both amazing athletes
