Brian Doherty Prospect WR/DB Class of 2020 6'0 180
Brian Doherty how was your 2018 season?
It was a big step in the right direction. It was hard losing in the first round but the whole team believes that last season was the start of something special at Prospect.
What has Coach DeBoeuf meant for Prospect in his first season as head coach?
I can’t speak highly enough of Coach Debeouf. He keeps the team loose but at the same time gets the most out of every player. He’s a guy that you want to win for.
What goal do you have yourself next season?
For myself, my goals for next season from an achievement level is to be an All Conference receiver. That’s just something you dream of. However a more important goal for me is to be the best leader and teammate for this team that I can be. Whether it’s on the field or in the weight room I’m excited to have the opportunity to lead this team to make a run in the playoffs.
What should college coaches know about you?
I think they should know that I’m a team first guy. I’m very competitive and play with a chip on my shoulder.
Who are some players on Prospect we should keep an eye on for this upcoming season?
Adam Mekky, Matt Meyer, Luke Zardzin, and Sebastian Swistack to name a few.
What game are you most looking forward to next season?
I’m most looking forward to week 1 against St Viator. Can’t wait to take the bus up to Robert Morris on August 30th.
Favorite route you like to run?
Corner route
What is one thing that you dont like about playing WR?
Maybe the Only thing I don’t like about playing wide receiver is not being able to block the big boys all the time. Luckily for me in our top and spot formations I go behind the tackle and get to be a lead blocker and see the linebackers so I can’t complain
