So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams

Clayton Welch Class of 2020 WR Clinton 6'0 175

Clayton Welch how was your 2018 season?

We ended 5-4, which was an improvement of the 2017 year and we were only a couple scores away from a even better record

What was your favorite memory of last season?

I think the season as whole because of the group of guys I played with, they made every day great

What should college coaches know about you?

I love the game of football all around, I’m willing to do anything needed

What goal do you have yourself this upcoming season?

Enjoy every moment since it’s my senior year and just have the best season overall record wise

Who are some Clinton players I should be on the lookout for next season?

I think we have a ton of great players returning on our team this year, Ty Berter, Tyrese Petty, Micah Downs, Garrett Wayne, Braden Cross, Drew Stacey, Kolton Spaugh, Brett Reeves, and Edgar Solis. I could go on and on I think all my teammates a great players

What game are you most looking forward to next season?

I have two games I’m really looking forward to playing this year one is Central AM, we only lost by just a few points last year and we all want redemption and definitely Homecoming

Who was one of the toughest DBs you faces last season?

I think the toughest DB I played against was Jacob Paradee but I also think Kolton Spaugh was one of the hardest DB’s I faced and I played against him everyday at practice and that was a great thing because Kolton was first team All Conference this year

What is your favorite route to run?

My favorite route to run is a post because you get to get out and run in open space and you got to go up and get the ball
