So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams
Robert Mims Class of 2020 Bolingbrook DB 6'0 170
Robert Mims what schools have you been talking to?
Haven’t really been talking to anyone but I’ve had interest from Duke, Iowa State, Illinois State
What would you like college coaches to know about you?
I’m very versatile I can play any DB spot on the field , and I learn from my previous mental errors that I make on the field.
Favorite memory of last season?
Definitely the playoff game because I played corner and safety and was flying across the field. Also the intensity of my time felt as though it was the highest it had been all year.
How good can this Bolingbrook team be for next season?
Overall we can be a pretty good team on the offensive side we have Antonio King, Devyn Suggs, and Trevor Borland coming back and defensively we have 8 returning starters coming back, so I feel we are in pretty good shape to make a championship run
What do you like about playing on the defense?
We’re given a specific rule and assignment so it allows us to think less and play faster
What game are you most looking forward to next season?
HF the crowd always shows up and the game is electrifying
What goal do you have for yourself this upcoming season?
To be more of a leader to the younger guys, and make sure my team takes things seriously especially the weight room and practice
