Talking With Sterling's Star RB Negil Bruce Class Of 2019

So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams

Negil Bruce Sterling Class of 2019 RB/ATH 5'6 166

Negil Bruce how was your senior season?

My season team wise was an exciting season with a lot of great victories including getting over the quarterfinal hump. Individually I’m proud of the numbers I put up and all thanks to my O line for making big things happen.

What would you want college coaches to know about you?

I’m hardworking and determined to create the best potential out of myself off or on the field. I’m undersized but my competitive nature and confidence makes up for it.

What schools have you talked to?

I’ve talked to Upper Iowa, St Xavier, William Penn, Monmouth, Judson, Culver Stockton, and Carroll University. I have offers from Clarke and Finlandia University

What was your best game this season?

I’d have to say Week 4 against Kaneland. I had 192 yds and 2 TD’s, our O line opened up huge holes and I couldn’t be stopped.

Toughest defense you went up against this season?

Hands down Rockford Boylan. It was a very physical and competitive game, they contained me most of the game but overall was the best game I’ve played in

What does football mean to you?

I’ve met and created bonds with people that’ll last my entire life through the sport. It’s been my favorite sport growing up as a kid and my biggest role model in life is Walter Payton. It’s just a really fun sport that I enjoy, I hope to continue the process and my career

Who are some young Sterling players I should be on the lookout for next season?

Quarterback junior Cooper William is somebody to be on the watch and also Junior lineman Aidan Munoz

What advice would you give the juniors about their senior season?

To stay focus as a team on one goal. Leaders need to step up to lead the team in right direction and do always do the little things to get better everyday.

Remember Deep Dish Football Is Just Not About Recruiting But About The Love Of The Game Of Football In The IHSA

RESPECT THE GAME
