Riley McCurdy how was your season?
Overall my season did not go as planned and we did not make playoffs .This season there was a lot of younger players so I had to step up to the challenges of moving spots on defense every game and try to help the team as a whole. I believe this next season will be special and I will be able to bring the team together to make playoffs.
Favorite memory this season?
My favorite memory this season was being able to help the seniors win their final game of their high school career and knocking out Peotone from making the plays offs at the same time
What does Streator football mean to you?
Streator football to me is being able to cooperate with life long friends and being able to play our game out on the field. Streator’s football program has struggled in the past but I believe that if our team comes together and trust the man besides one another that success will come
What should college coaches know about you?
I would like them to know I am hard working and dedicated person on the field and in the classroom. Making it to the next level of football has always been a dream of mine and I have been working towards it everyday after my school work is done.
What would you tell a Streator student on the fence about joining Streator football?
The thing I would like to tell that student is that they will have plenty of time in life to experience the many things life comes with, but they will never have another chance to experience the bond and feeling football brings when you go out with your family out on game day.
Give some Streator players I should be on the lookout for next year?
The main players I believe you should look out for is Carter Spears, Boyd Martin, Dominic Haws, Tavarre Phifer and Ian Kurdziolek
What does Coach Hassett mean to you guys?
Coach Hasset is one of the few coaches you can rely on who will not give up on you and will continue to thrive to make you better as a student and player. He is a constant reminder that you should put 100% effort into anything you want to do in life which makes him a great role model for all of us to look up too.
