Asa Cooper Coal City ATH Class of 2021 5'11 175
Asa Cooper how has your season been?
It’s been really good, not really anything bad I can say. We’ve achieved our goal getting a high seed for the playoffs and we plan on making a deep run.
What has been your favorite memory so far this season?
My favorite memory is probably coming out against Morris and seeing the crowd I was about to play in front of for my first varsity football game
What do you see in Wheaton Academy your upcoming game?
We watched a little bit of film this morning, thy have quite a bit of size and they pass a lot. We haven’t played a team that passes as much as they do so our backers and dbs will need to be ready
What needs to happen Friday night for you guys to get the win?
Our linebackers and dbs need to play a great game defensively to control the pass, and our offense needs to be as efficient as it was last Friday night
Toughest player that you went up against this season?
Dryfhout from morris or the running back from Plano (I cant remember his name) they were both very hard runners
Give me young coaler I should keep an eye out for?
Ashton Harvey, he was a great running back and safety for the JV team this past year and is moved up for the playoffs for the rest of the year. I believe he will be a great addition to the team if it is decided he be moved up full time.
