Talking With Naperville Central DB Class Of 2019 Justin Agema About Redhawk Football

So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams.

Justin Agema Class of 2019 Naperville Central DB 5'11 160

Justin Agema how has the season been for you so far?

The season started off shaky but after the first two games as a team we have been rolling teams. I feel I have played pretty well so far this season but there’s definitely room for improvement. My game has improved a lot from last season, due to all the training I did in the off-season with Midwest boom. I have only let up one touchdown this season and I have one interception but a lot of breakup and a bunch of tackles. I’ve also been playing some safety this year and I’m loving it, I can use my speed to get to the ball also I can practice my open field tackles.

Favorite memory so far from this season?

My favorite memory so far is when we traveled to Kentucky to play trinity and beat them 38-20 and I got my first interception

What does football mean to you?

I’ve been playing football since I was in third grade and I’ve loved it ever since. Football is more than just a sport to me, it has created life long friendships with players and coach’s. Football has taught me to never give up and that hard work pays off.

What do you like about playing defensive back?

I can use my speed and athleticism to make plays. Also since I used to play receiver I can anticipate what’s coming. Defensive back has taught me to stay discipline and patient during games. Also not being the biggest guy on the field you have to make up for by watching film and knowing what the receiver is going to do when they line up against you.

Toughest group of WRs/TEs you faced so far?

The toughest group of wide outs and tight ends I have faced so far has been the guys over at Lincoln Way East they are a very discipline football team, their receivers are long and they play the ball very well.

What would you like college coaches to know about you?

That I am extremely hard working and I will do whatever it takes to help my team win. I love the game of football period!

What does it mean to you when I say "Senior Season"?

We have a super hardworking group of guys over here at central and we are relentless to go out with a bang. Knowing that it’s my last year of high school football is emotional but I am going to leave everything on the field. I plan to play at the next level and I’m excited for what the future has in store!
