Owen Goss how does Hinsdale Central look this season?
Pretty good actually. I’m pretty sure we’ve got 17 players that have started over 3 games on varsity last year. A lot of experience on the team and hype surrounding the team
What does football mean to you?
It means everything to me. I’ve been playing tackle football since 2nd grade. I’ve got two older brothers who I’ve watched growing up. Football has been an outlet for my life.
What game are you most looking forward to this season?
Definitely Naperville Central. Everyone knows that it’s one of the bigger games in the state week one. They’ve got a talented team in Payton Thorne and Sam Jackson and a lot more. Definitely the game to watch week one.
What team would you like to play if you made the schedule?
Probably Loyola. We had a tough game against them in the playoffs last year but I think we can hang with the big teams this year just because our experience
What position do you feel most comfortable with?
Definitely CB. I’ve been working with Pete houlian over at EFT. I’ve grown so much since I’ve started working with him. His knowledge for the game is crazy. I try to soak up as much as I can. I can play WR if colleges want me to but I prefer CB
Give me a young Hinsdale Central player 2020 or 2021 to look out for?
For 2020 class my twin Guy Goss. He plays with a mentality that I’ve never seen before. For 2021 Michael Brescia. He’ll step up next year as a Quarterback. He’ll be getting a lot of looks next year
Least favorite field to play on?
Glenbard West can be the worst but the best field just because it rained last year and it’s grass got really bad. But that stadium is amazing other wise
