Talking With Illinois Valley Central's Class Of 2020 Ryan Miller About Ghost Football & The

So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams

Ryan Miller IVC Class of 2020 WR/LB 5'9 160

Ryan Miller:

IVC is a great high school. Our football program hasn’t been the best in the past few years but we all have to trust the process. The academic at IVC is hard working and the teachers put a lot of time into helping the students that are in need. The football team has been working very hard this summer and we’re ready for our home opener against Tolono Unity on August 24th

Coach Big Pete: Ryan Miller how does IVC look this season?

We’re a very young varsity team with 90% of our players being juniors. We’ve all played together since our days in JFL, and we have built a great bond between eachother. This upcoming season is going to the be the true test of what we can accomplish as a young team in this tough conference. We have some great talent on offense with QB Alex Merlo and wide receiver Alex Fulton along with many others. We also have some great defensive players including DE Isaac Taylor, LB Sam Stoneking and Safety Nick Alahi, and many others who have contributed to our success as a young team, as we went 8-0 our freshman season and continue to grow and improve with every snap of the football. Our schedule includes some very tough and talented opponents including our season opener against Tolono Unity on August 24th. We also look forward to games against Monticello, Prairie Central, and Bloomington Central Catholic as they also have some very talented players and great football programs in our conference. Weather it’s a practice, 7v7, or just in the weight room, we always give 110% and that has helped with some of our success as a young team.

Favorite memory from last season?

Last season as a sophomore I saw several opportunities to step up and play at the Varsity level, which in turn gave me a whole new prospective on Varsity Ghost Football.

What game are you looking most forward to this season?

I’m most looking forward to our home opener against Unity-Tolono on August 24th. This game will be the beginning of a great season ahead, and to start it against such a great opponent is getting us all pumped up!

What does football mean to you?

Football to me is an adrenaline rush, playing a game that I love with my fellow teammates in an atmosphere with yelling fans is just a dream come true.

What goal do you have for yourself this season?

My goal for this season is to improve as much as a football player as I can. My weaknesses will be strengthened throughout the season and my strengths will get stronger.

Remember Deep Dish Football Is Just Not About Recruiting But About The Love Of The Game Of Football In The IHSA

RESPECT THE GAME
