Talking With Plainfield North's ATH David D'lorio Class Of 2020 About Upcoming Season

So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams

David D'lorio Plainfield North Class of 2020 ATH 5'9 155

David D'lorio what camps did you visit this summer?

I visited Benedictine, North Central, Grand View, Oberlin College, and planned on going to ISU but unfortunately couldn’t make it out there

What does football mean to you?

That football is a lifestyle to me!! I grew up on a football field and has been apart of my life as long as I could remember , my grandpa was a coach at Marian Catholic for 46 years and multiple family members played football. Football keeps me focused on my goals and I enjoy the grind the comes with it

How does Plainfield North look this season?

We look good so far, we have some very talented seniors from the team last year that really are good leaders and help us (the juniors) get a concept of our playbook on both defense and offense. Our junior class is very talented as well, we have a lot of special talent that will help us go far this season, we all work very hard and expect high results this season.

What goal do you have for yourself this season?

I plan on getting a starting position, my teammates and I compete very hard against each other to get ourselves better and our coach wants us to compete for a position as well. But overall I want to help the team out in anyway and also to get better throughout the season and gain a good learning experience for my first year on varsity

Game you are looking the most forward to this season?

Definitely Oswego and Oswego East... we have had some pretty intense games in the past and Is always a big game for both schools every year.

Give me a player on Plainfield North that needs to be looked at?

Personally, I think all of our starters should be looked at. We all are talented and under looked. Some seniors that should be looked at are Nate Curtis, Garret Cook, and Ben Wilson. Some juniors in my class are Tobenna Enyi, Marcellus Moore, Jaylon Tillman, and Uchenna Udeogu

What should college coaches know about you?

They should know that I’m a STUDENT ATHLETE, I take the classroom as serious as the field. I am a hard worker and I give a 110% in everything I do. Be ready for these next 2 seasons because they are going to be big

Remember Deep Dish Football Is Just Not About Recruiting But About The Love Of The Game Of Football In The IHSA

RESPECT THE GAME
