What is in the water at Salem.... You guys produce one bigtime athlete a year in football?
The big time athletes that come through Salem are the hardest workers no doubt. They are the ones putting in the work on and off the field. There’s nothing in the water, it’s just who wants to put in the work, and that’s what I strive for day in and day out.
What does football mean to you?
To me football is more than just a game, it means everything to go out there and fight with my brothers every Friday night.
Favorite memory from last season?
Beating Freeburg Week 8 at home for the seniors last home game ever on Jim Finks field
What should college coaches know about you?
I work hard on the field, in the weight room, and classroom. Also I’d do anything for my team.
Funniest guy on the Salem team?
Kobe Silvey, he is our Nose, and Also plays Center on offense.
What goal do you have for yourself this season?
Lead the conference in tackles again, and be the leader of the defense all season long.
What would you tell incoming freshmen about Salem Football?
You are building this team now, and for the future to come. You’re gonna get what you put into it. Anything is possible, it just depends on how bad you want it.
