COACH BIG PETE'S TAKE
Jaquan is one of the best athletic running backs in the state of Illinois for the Class of 2019. Can be utilized in many ways especially in the pass, one of the better hands RB in Illinois. Really like the kids running style, he just doesnt slow down. One of my more impressive interviews this past year.
Jaquan Buchanan what schools have you been talking to?
Recently I have been talking to UMARY, Western Missouri , Saint Anselm , Truman State, and Northern Michigan the schools that have offered. Through camp season I have also talked with Fordham, North Dakota State, and Grand Valley State.
What does football mean to you?
Football means everything it’s a passion I’ve always had I wouldn’t be who I am without the game of football. It gives me a purpose. Something to strive to be great at and provides me with a lot of excellent opportunities
So how does West Aurora look this season?
I think we look great . We have already won two 7v7s which show her versatile we are becoming this year . We have really high expectations for each other and I expect us to go really far this year.
Favorite memory from last season?
I would have to say the rally comeback we had against Geneva. We played with so much energy and emotion the second half . And to have the crowd behind us every step of the way was unreal . And with such a special finish like that it was a great memory.
What should college coaches know about you?
They should know i would do anything to help the team win. I work extremely hard and will always compete to the best of my ability . I can lead others and lead by great example.
What game are you most exited for this season?
I’m excited for them all , but mostly glenbard east . We had a Really good game against them last year without their starting QB. They have just about as many returning as we do, it should be a good game.
Funniest guy on the West Aurora team and why?
Ummm I think everyone has their own personalities that shine everyday . They are all pretty funny lol
