So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams
Trey Warnes Class of 2019 Unity 5'9 160 ATH

So Trey Warnes how does Unity look this season?
We graduated a large number of seniors from last year so this year's team might be considered young or inexperienced but we've got a lot of kids working hard and putting the time in so it should be another good year.
What does Unity Football mean to you?
Unity Football means the world to me. Growing up in Unit 7 you bleed Rocket football. I remember going to as many games that I could when I was younger and looking up to the football players.
Now being a player myself, it's really cool to see the little kids look up to me the same way.
Favorite memory from last season?
My 2 favorite memories from last year would be winning a share of the first ever Illini Prairie Conference title and when we played our rival SJO on our homecoming game and shut them out 41-0. It was the most fun I've ever had playing a football game.
What would you like college coaches to know about you?
I'm a team player who pushes myself and others to our limits.. I'm coachable and competitive.
Give me a player on Unity that college coaches need to know about?
David Martin. He's my lifting partner and one of the few returning starters from last year. This kid is very athletic and outworks everyone. Dave always seemed to make a play when we needed it most. He's a ballhawk.
Favorite opponent you like to travel to and play?
Anytime Unity-SJO or Unity-Monticello go head to head it's gonna be a packed house. It's always fun beating them but never fun to lose to them. We play both of them on the road this year so it should be a great test.
This is your Senior season. What does that mean to you?
It means make the most of it. Enjoy my time with my teammates and coaches because it doesn't last forever and this year will fly by. It also means leave a mark on the program that will last. I want to be able to pass the torch onto the next group of seniors so they can continue the tradition.
