Vernon Hills made some news with the recent hire of Hall of Fame Coach Otto Zeman as OC. Head Coach Bellacomo will give the cougar offense to the "Father of the Five Wide' and this team is already use to this type of offense. What will be key is to see how quick the players feel comfortable with the Old Man OZ.
Brad Gotheff what schools have you been talking to?
Northern state, Elmhurst, Lake Forest, ONU, Lawrence University. I’m just starting the recruiting process and going to camps getting my name out there.
What does Vernon Hills football mean to you?
Pride, integrity, dedication and family
What should college coaches know about you?
I’m mentally strong, I have a motor that never stops, I’m extremely dedicated to the game (year round), I’m a hard worker in the classroom and on the field.
Favorite memory from last season?
First game starting on varsity as a sophomore, playing Grayslake Central, getting my first varsity sack for a loss of 15 yards.
So how does Vernon Hills look this season?
Definitely better than last year, hoping to make a deep run in the playoffs.
How is the team responding to the new OC Otto Zeman?
We’re all very excited to have OC Zeman as apart of the cougar family. We are looking forward to running his offense
What do you like about playing on the defense?
I love using my speed and strength to my advantage to help the team accomplish our goal of being a brick wall defense.
Funniest guy in the Vernon Hills lockerroom and why?
There are many characters on the team, but to mention one it would have to be Faheem Mannan our DT always keeps us loose with countless jokes and laughs on and off the field.
