So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams.

Bryce Cohoon Class of 2019 LB Kaneland 6'0 210

COACH BIG PETE'S TAKE

Bryce Cohoon is that throwback linebacker, not afraid to take on linemen to make the tackle. Does a great of reading his keys and closing in on the ball carrier.

Bryce Cohoon what schools have you been talking to?

Drake University, Minnesota State, and Indiana State

What have you been doing the offseason to better yourself for this upcoming season?

I had my father put me in Don Beebe’s Linebacker Training to have me better understand my position and also have me work on my pass coverage. I’ve also been weightlifting everyday of the week.

Favorite memory from last season?

Favorite memory had to be going down to Morris and just outplaying them and beating them. I think it’s safe to say that we were not in favor of winning, since they already beat Dekalb and we’re undefeated. That night Morris had a chance to win our conference, it was their senior night, and also their homecoming game and we just took that all away from them.

What would you like college coaches to know about you?

I’d like them to know that I’m very hardworking and I’m always looking to improve myself in anyway. I’m also very coachable and love to hit people haha.

Game you are looking most forward to this season?

I’m really looking forward to the game vs Geneva at home this year. I felt like we could of beat them last year, but we just didn’t have a lot of guys in the right positions in the beginning of the season. But we’re going to bring it to them this year and it should be a great game.

Funniest guy on the Kaneland team?

That has to be Mr. Chaz Shaw he’s a absolute animal during Oklahoma Drills and loves to bring his little Boom Box to every practice during the summer.

What does football mean to you?

Football means an awful lot to me. During the season it brings my friends and family closer to me, it gives me a chance to make a name for myself, and it takes me away from everyday normal life and gives me a chance to just have fun and enjoy the game.

This is your Senior Season Upcoming, What does that mean to you?

It’s my make or break year. Either I go on to play college football or I never get to play the game of football again. Either way it’s going to be a very emotional year and I’m going to give everything I have to make sure I have no regrets.

Remember Deep Dish Football Is Just Not About Recruiting But About The Love Of The Game Of Football In The IHSA

RESPECT THE GAME
