So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams.

Chris Carter Class of 2019 Waubonsie Valley OL 6'4 280

COACH BIG PETE'S TAKE

Chris Carter is my pick for the camp riser this year, great frame and extension. Not to mention the character of this young man is what will make college coaches intrested next to his talent.

Chris Carter what schools have you been talking to?

Okay currently I have been talking to Kent state , Minnesota State University MooreHead, SIU, North Dakota state university, Indiana Wesleyan university, QU. Are the colleges I’m am talking to right now

What does playing on the offensive line mean to you?

For me I think not only do you have to be the bigger man, but you have to be the most mentally toughest guy in the field. While being the nicest off the field

What part of your game have you been trying to improve on in the offseason?

I would have to say mostly the mental part of every workout and drill. I tell guys all the time if you can’t get a weight it’s in your head. I think if you get it down in the head you can achieve anything

What would you like to let college coaches know about you?

One thing I would really love to tell coach’s is I know i have the physical contributions but the grades don’t speak for me I do. And I would say the last 2 years of my freshman and sophomore year were not reflected great. But I am now learning from my mistakes , and making steps to get the best grades I can get

Favorite memory from last season?

I would have to say when in practice, offense went against defense and I and the offense went going 100% and I went had to down block on the nose guard and when I went to block him me and him went at it. Cursing and everything making the offense go 110% then we skipped conditioning

Game you are most looking forward to this season?

I’m definitely looking forward to the Neuqua game at home.

What would you say is the hardest thing about playing on the line?

I would say that the hardest is when we preform great blocking and get a pad on the back but when we mess up we get chewed out

What goal do you have for yourself this season?

My goal for the year is to be the best me on the field on and off. I hope to average above all b’s and make all conference. But most of all set an example for the younger kids with excellence

Remember Deep Dish Football Is Just Not About Recruiting But About The Love Of The Game Of Football In The IHSA

RESPECT THE GAME
