St.Joseph's DL/ATH Jordan Tims Class Of 2019 Q&A


So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams.

Jordan Tims is a very talented defensive tackle, that makes plays against bigger offensive linemen. Fast of the line and can get pentration inside the interior line and makes quality gap reads.

Jordan Tims what schools have you been talking to?

SMSU, Central Missouri, Grandview, Puget Sound, UW-LaCrosse, UW-Steven Point, Clarke University, La Verne University, Wagner, Wayne State NE

What does football mean to you?

Football means the world to me. I’ve been playing since I was 6 years and the game has taught and gave me so much, I don’t know what I would do without it.

What do you like about playing on the defensive line?

I not only like the physicality but the intellectual side of playing DL, it’s not just about tossing around some guys to get to the backfield, you have to study the OL, and come up with a strategy on how to beat him every play. That’s what I’ve learned while growing into this position over the course of my career

Favorite memory from last season?

Getting an opportunity to play in the Prep Bowl Playoffs.

What motivates a Jordan Tims?

I feel always I have something to prove so there’s that and to break down barriers, and also to give back to the person who always giving to me, my mother.

So how does St.Joseph look this season?

We’re looking pretty good, we got a big Senior class ready to step up and take the reigns, and Junior class that’s has legit FCS potential. We have Sophomores, where’s the skies the limit for them a ton of talent and need to be talked about more. The Freshman coming in are already in the weight room ready to make a impact.

Name me a player on St.Joseph we should look out for?

There’s too many to just say one. We got D1 talent in Zuriel Mason, Antonio Hardaway Jr., Caleb Hayden, Anthony Brown, Joshua Ratliff, Mekhi Eiland, Trazhon Tims, Aamir Burgie, Eduardo Barriga, Javontay Bright, Tim Shannon Jr, Ezekiel Boose, Angel Camacho, Robert Herrod There’s a ton of others as well

What is one thing you want college coaches to know about you?

I want colleges to know about me that I’ll give you 110% every time, every weight room session, every practice, every game and I’ll do everything in my power to be the best my position in order to help my team be successful.
