Bolingbrook's Offensive Linemen Class Of 2019 Alex Parades Jr. Talks Recruiting & Football

So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams.

Alex Parades Jr. Class of 2019 Bolingbrook OL 6'4 290

COACH BIG PETE'S TAKE

Alex Parades is a pure athlete on the line, one of the fastest offensive linemen in the state of Illinois. Parades is emerging on the national spotlight for recruits and will be getting more looks as the summer season begins. The amazing part of Alex is that he still has growth in his abilities and there is more to come from this young man.

Alex Parades what schools have you been talking to?

I have been in contact with a select few due to my grades. Those few are Oklahoma State, Western Michigan, Southern Illinois, Cincinnati, and a few smaller MAC schools.

What have you learned about the recruiting process ?

Humility and humbleness. Definitely two key attributes to a team player and someone who has to earn their brothers trust and respect. The recruiting process helped me become my own man, i have many schools ready to offer after i receive a certain SAT score. And other schools turned me down. I learned to move past all that and do my own thing.

What does Bolingbrook football mean to you?

Honestly it’s more than a football team, it’s more of a lifestyle. Coach Ivlow is one heck of a football coach, but a much better man. He is like a second father figure to me. Him along with the others amongst the coaching staff provide each and every play weather that’s 1st string or 3rd string with the proper tools to becoming a better football player, as well as a better man.

Favorite memory from last season?

Definitely my career high 18 pancakes in a single game. I have one of the best offensive line coaches in the state. Maybe even the country! He teaches me to be the best man i can be on and off the field. It didn’t start off that way, we had some slight differences and misunderstandings, but after discussions and mentoring, he is truly one hell of a man . He helped me to provide as much knowledge he could this past season

What game are you looking forward to the most this season?

While participating in boom, i got to meet a new great friend of mine that i will be facing on the line this season. Isaiah Coe, one hell of an athlete , so definitely Homewood Flossmoor. That and Lincoln Way East. After coming just shy of beating the number 1 team in the state, it puts a chip on my shoulder for this upcoming season

This is your Senior Season- What does that mean to you?

It’s sad to say, but this is it. Going to Nazareth Academy freshman year, transferring to Bolingbrook. It seemed like just yesterday i became a raider. This just goes to show that football and school goes by really fast and you got to take it advantage of all the years you have there. We will definitely come out with a chip on her shoulder not only because of our two seasons that we had previously but because our senior class of 2019, were really explosive and excited to prove to everybody what we have and prove everyone wrong basically. College is just around the corner, and i want to make this season count.

Give me one player on the Bolingbrook squad that will turn some heads this season?

Antonio King. Slot WR. He is a straight dog. Undersized, but will give us the yardage we need. He is the clutch player we will have this year on the offensive side of the ball. He is class of 2020, and he will be a name to talk about this season.

Remember Deep Dish Football Is Just Not About Recruiting But About The Love Of The Game Of Football In The IHSA

RESPECT THE GAME
