So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams.

Jackson Bruscianelli Linebacker Montini Class of 2019 6'1 200

COACH BIG PETE'S TAKE

Jackson is one of the best linebackers in the state of Illinois. One of the better defenders to read his keys and fight of blockers to make a play. Very impressed with Jackson's coverage skills and makes great gap press blitzes.

What schools Jackson have you been talking to?

Some of the schools I have been talking to are; Illinois, Illinois state, Toledo, Cincinnati and Western Michigan

What have you been doing to improve your skills during the offseason?

During This offseason I have been focusing on my explosion, speed, flexibility and footwork. Along with lifting, I have been working with Chris Korfist who specializes in one on one speed training. I also am a part of Montini’s track team during the off season.

Favorite memory from last season?

One of my favorite memories from last season was beating a 7a powerhouse brother rice in the last minutes of the game. It was a huge win and kickstarted our season.

What motivates a Jackson Bruscianelli?

Something that motives me is having the opportunity at the end of the year to play for the state title with my team and becoming the best football player and person I could be.

What does it mean to you that this will be your senior season?

It means a lot because it is our senior classes last opportunity to achieve our goal of winning a state championship. Since we will be the leaders, it will be our responsibility to get the job done.

What do you like about playing linebacker?

Playing middle linebacker comes with a lot of responsibility and that’s what I love about the position. You have to know your own assignment, make sure everyone is lined up right and communicate any pre snap adjustments. When you play middle linebacker you are the QB of the defense.

Remember Deep Dish Football Is Just Not About Recruiting But About The Love Of The Game Of Football In The IHSA
