Meet Class Of 2021 Loyola Linebacker Liam Conaghan

So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams.

Liam Conaghan Class of 2021 Linebacker 6'2 200 Loyola Academy

COACH BIG PETE'S TAKE

Liam is one of my Watchlist players for the Class of 2021. Great frame, and great vision but the key thing will be seeing his progressions in his sophomore season.

Liam Conaghen what should college coaches know about you?

That I am a hard worker that will do anything to win. Very competitive.

What is one thing you learned in your freshmen season?

That high school football is a much faster game and winning does not come easy. You have to prepare for every game and put 110% in every practice and game.

What have you been trying to improve in the offseason in your game?

My strength speed and quickness. Also keeping my body right and gaining weight.

Who is another Loyola Class of 2021 player college coaches should keep an eye out for?

Definitely Artist Benjamin. Freak athlete with crazy upside. About 6”1 and plays corner/wide receiver. Also Owen boos, Rory boos’s younger brother. Same build and speed, but taller.

What is one position that you would like to play?

I love playing outside linebacker, but a secondary position I would like to try in the future is inside linebacker and possibly some tight-end my senior year.

What do you like about football?

I love the character football has thought me and the competitive drive it gives me. It has given me a great work ethic and taught countless life lessons. I don’t know who I’d be without football.

What game are you looking forward the most to this season?

Definitely New Trier. Big rivalry, they don’t like us and we don’t like them. It should be tons of fun.

Remember Deep Dish Football Is Just Not About Recruiting But About The Love Of The Game Of Football In The IHSA

RESPECT THE GAME
