Brendan Meng is the next big small school wonder that will blow up later this spring in the summer period. Kid is a natural athlete with soft hands and can play both offense and defense. Who ever gets this kid is getting a natural playmaker with a great competitive edge.
Brendan Meng tell me about Freeburg football?
Freeburg football is all about being a team and working hard on and off the field to get the results we want during the season. We have a great coaching staff that cares about all of the players and it's really just a great team atmosphere to be around
What is one thing in your game that you have been trying to improve in the off-season?
I've really been trying to work on my route running and quickness on my patterns to create separation and get an advantage over my opponents. Really just trying to become a more explosive player overall.
What is one thing that College Coaches should know about you?
College coaches should know that I'm a dedicated athlete and I won't turn down any challenge that I face. I'm willing to work through any obstacle to prove that I can be a successful player at the next level.
Its Early... How does Freeburg look this season coming up ?
Things are looking good right now for the team in the early stages of the year. We have some new coaches coming in that are a perfect fit for the program as they bring in a lot of good energy and a new look for us. We have majority of our starting group coming back and I'm excited for this up coming season. I really think it's going to be a good year for us
What motivates a Brendan Meng?
Something that really motivates me is knowing that I get to be a part of something real special, such as Freeburg football. Not a lot of people get the opportunity to be a part of a team this great. Knowing that I'm going to put in the work to not only better myself, but my teammates is something that always keeps me going as a player
Favorite moment from last season?
Winning our final game of the season was my favorite moment from last year. It was a tough season, but we stuck together until the end and finished the season strong.
Give me on Freeburg player that College Coaches should also be looking at?
Cal Clossen is a great player for coaches to look into. He got some playing time as a freshman on varsity. He's an experienced player, he's tough, hard working, and he's a great team leader.
