Chat with Lake Forest OL Chase Bahr Class of 2019

So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams.

Chase Bahr Lake Forest HS 6'4 270 Class of 2019 OL

Chase Behr what schools have you been talking to?

I have been talking to a lot of the Ivy's including Dartmouth, Harvard, Princeton, and Cornell. I have also been in contact with Boston College and Colgate, and a few D3 schools, Middlebury, Williams, and University of Chicago

What was your one of your favorite moments playing last season?

One of my favorite moments from last season was our first game. It was my first varsity start and I was beyond excited to play. We had been working all Summer for this moment and when it finally happened it felt surreal. I was extremely nervous, but after the first snap it felt just like every other play and I took it step by step. There were many more amazing moments from last season, but my first experience has to be my favorite.

What is one thing that you could improve in your game?

As an offensive lineman leverage is a huge part of the game. I am a rather big person, which is true for nearly every offensive lineman, but I think that I can improve my pad level a bit and has been a major focus of mine this off season. In addition, I hope to increase my foot speed and be able to move a bit faster. This includes exploding of the ball and lateral movement.

Who is the one player that College Coaches should know from Lake Forest HS that dont know for 2018?

One guy that will be a huge role for our 2018 team and College Coaches should definitely keep an eye out for is Charlie Aberle. He is currently a Sophomore and played Defense and Offense on the varsity team this past season. He is a huge kid and is a menace on both sides of the ball. I had the opportunity of playing against him and playing with him. He is a guy who I think any College Coach would want.

What is one game you are looking to forward to this fall?

I'm very excited about our first game, we're playing Antioch who went 9-1 last season, and were undefeated in regular season play. It should be a great test for our team and the chance to show what Lake Forest Football is made of. It will be a tough game because Antioch is a great program and I can't wait!

What would you like College Coaches to know about you?

College Coaches should know that I am an extremely hard working player and will do whatever it takes to get the job done. I am determined to be the best player I can possibly be and have a relentless work ethic. No matter what the task is, if it's on the field, or in the classroom I will get it done. I will also continue to work at a goal until I achieve it!
