Chat with Carmi White's QB William Pugsley Class of 2019

So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect for their roles on their respective teams.

Carmi White's William Pugsley QB/ATH 5'11 175

My love for the Black Diamond Conference is no secret, and one of the main reasons is all of the undiscovered talent in it every year. Pugsley is one of those players, great arm and really impressed with his athleticism. YES he is 5'11 but this kid plays like he is 6'4, and not only but I consider him one of the underrated ATHs in Illinois for the Class of 2019.

So William Pugsley you play for Carmi White in the Black Diamond Conference, What is it like playing the Black Diamond?

It’s a very competitive conference. With a great fan base. I mean we had 5 teams make the playoffs and every year our conference produces top college recruits.

What is one thing that most people dont know about Carmi White football?

Coach Simon has been here for 20+ years and has been running a very successful program that the community takes pride in.

What schools have shown a interest in you?

Monmouth, St. Francis, Greenville, Olivet Nazarene, Rhodes, and Missouri Baptist are probably the top ones around this area

One thing that College Coaches need to know about you?

I love the game and have been working hard this off-season too gain weight since I’m a little under sized but I feel like I had a competitive spirit that will stand out and also my 10 1/2 inch hands that should benefit me at the next level

Name one Carmi- White player that coaches should also look at and why?

I’d have to say my center since I’ve been in 7th grade Jace Carter, not only is he big but the kid is smart and played a huge role this past season stepping up as a underclassman and helping me out tremendously in the pocket.

What is your favorite football memory from last year?

Probably our playoff game against Bismarck Henning, we lost with a last minute touchdown pass but the effort by everyone on the team was outstanding and really special with it being my first playoff game and I learned a lot.
