Coach Big Pete Rant: Recruiting Stars, Rankings, Scores ETC Mean Nothing
As I have repeated this a number of times to high school coaches, parents, and recruits, "STARS and Rankings mean nothing to a College Coach". They try and find the best player for the best scheme that they are coaching, and they try and find the best player that will fit their school. Character is now a thing too, no more PR Nightmares for schools that will cost a coaching staff its jobs. Recruiting publications and most writers dont even do their own scouting they just put words they heard on tv, seen on the internet, and use them as their own.
