So, in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know, but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams. Hunter Niklos how was your first high school season?
It was really good. It was my first season ever playing tackle football, so I learned a lot and I feel I got better with every game.
What does football mean to you?
Football means everything to me. This season has been great for me and I have became much closer with the other athletes on my team. I love how football is the ultimate team sport and that you need everyone on the team to work together.
What should college coaches know about you?
I played four sports this year. This fall, I started varsity football and soccer, had a 4.0 GPA, and also worked ten hours a week. So I am an extremely hard worker, and I will always put my team over myself.
How has playing soccer transferred into helping you play football?
I think soccer has really helped with my footwork and my sprint endurance.
What part of your game do you plan on working on in the off-season?
My strengths are my athleticism, so I plan to work on getting faster and quicker. Other goals I have is to 15 pounds of muscle by next season and catch 50 balls a day.
What motivates a Hunter Niklos?
My motivation is my family. My dad and uncles both have a lot of history with football, and I want to be as great or greater than them.
