Meet Thornton Athlete Timjay Hammond Class Of 2025

So, in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know, but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams. Timjay Hammond Thornton RB/ATH 5'6 170 Class of 2025

Timjay Hammond how was your freshman season?
 

 
It was good I learned a lot being a freshman on varsity. I see that I am able to complete as freshmen on varsity. Freshmen season was successful I ran for about 70 yards with 18 carries in 3 games
 

 
What does football mean to you?
 

 
Football is more than just a game to me…. Football is my world also with football is my peace. When I am on the field football brings that dawg. Football is my way to just get away from the world and just go to the field and work, football is a half of me.
 

 
What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field?
 

 
My agility and IQ.
 

 
What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason?
 

 
I have been working on strength and speed. I also ran track with a 100m of 12.5
 

 
What should college coaches know about you?
 

 
That I am willing to work and do what’s best for the team and that I am I do multiply sports so I can adapt to any atmosphere
 

 
What motivates a Mr. Hammond?
 

 
MY FAMILY and making them proud is what motivates me.
 

 
What goals do you have for yourself this upcoming season?
 

 
Big goals Me being ATH starting next year on varsity I plan on getting 500 yards ,500 rec yards. With 7 touchdowns for my sophomore on varsity season.
