Patrick O'Neil how was your 2019 season?
It was a big learning experience for me as a sophomore playing up on varsity. At first, I had to adjust to the playbook and the speed of the game compared to the Freshman level, but once I did I had a great time and it was awesome.
What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason?
I’ve been working to improve my Route Running/Release, and getting my feet quicker overall. I’ve also been trying to get my hands stronger for catching the football.
What should college coaches know about you?
They should know that I am an extremely hard worker and I’m focused on my craft. I think I am very coachable and willing to learn.
What is your favorite route to run?
I would say a Post Route, because I like the sharp cut at the top of the route to fake the corner, and then I get to use my speed to get past the defense.
How does DGS look for the upcoming season?
We have a very determined group of playmakers who have been working all year to get better. We also have a bunch of returning starters and seniors that are going to be key for our success this season. All of us can’t wait to get out there this season and make some noise.
