October 11th Could be the Last Day of CPS Football for a while

Chicago Public Schools could be on strike at of October 11th and could have a immense impact on IHSA Football Season. Chicago Public School teachers union voting with 95% to strike via contract talks. With schools such as Morgan Park, Simeon, Phillips etc in threat of ending their seasons earlier due to the strike. It has become a sad state of affairs in the CPS, and even more the poor condition of the schools in Chicago. Football is needed for these kids, not only for a chance at college but chance to escape form the realities harsh inner city violence. We can only hope that this strike is short because these kids need football.
